Better Google Rank Through Links

feature photo

At Google’s core is a scoring method called PageRank, which essentially judges every site on the Internet with a rank from 0-10. Every Real Estate agent should know how this method affects their website. This page rank is dictated by many factors with the most important being the links to your web site. Each time somebody adds a link to your web site, Google considers this as a positive tie to your site. The more links you have to your site, the more sites are tied to it, the stronger its ranking. Imagine many sites tied to yours creating an effect like a suspension bridge with many lines tied to the bridge to lift it up. The more ties the stronger the bridge.

Google also takes more than just the volume of links into consideration. The relevance and popularity of the site linking or tied to your site also affects the page rank. Sites that Google concludes are significant add to the strength of the link to your site. This means a link from a major site to your site will count as many small links.

How can you use this to your advantage? Create links to your site. Find opportunities to write about yourself or the real estate market. If what you write is good people will link to it giving it more value in Google’s eyes thus helping your cause even more.
